Submission Guidelines
Selection process and criteria
Selection will be by the Science Committee and the main criteria for selection will be novelty, relevance, diversity and inclusivity.
AF2025 particularly welcomes sessions that:
- Present new findings derived from rigorous research, thorough evidence or processes
- Novel insights from purposeful and ethical practices and engagement
- Demonstrates leadership or inclusion of Indigenous Knowledges and Local Knowledges in accelerating adaptation.
- Addresses gender, equity, accessibility, and social inclusion issues.
- Promotes reflection between research and government, practitioners, civil society, private sector, international organizations or foundations that focus on solutions and innovations.
- Makes adaptation a core element of sustainable development, investment and planning.
- Showcases examples (e.g. case studies, tools, good practices or cases of failure) and why they offer insights into accelerating adaptation.
- Involves partner organizations from two or more different regions, countries, organizations or adaptation communities.
You can choose to submit a scientific poster, research paper or a session proposal.
To promote equity and broader participation at AF2025, an individual can only serve as a lead participant in one Poster or Paper presentation and one Session Proposal.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines below:
- Submissions must be completed by 25 February 2025.
- All abstracts must be submitted through the online portal.
- Abstracts may be submitted in the language of the presentation at the conference, with an English translation if required.
- Submitter must be the lead presenter of the abstract or chair/moderator of the session.
- Abstracts must follow the official template in Word format pers submission type (see abstract templates below).
- Submissions must be made in Arial font, size 11.
- Submissions may include up to 1 image or table (maximum 10MB).
- Please only use standard abbreviations or define them in full.
- Accuracy is the responsibility of the author. Abstracts will be published as submitted. Please ensure that all abstracts are carefully proof-read before uploading.
- AI generated abstracts will not be accepted.
